Text Box: Did You Know that Hypnotherapy is not government regulated in the UK? (This is despite misleading statements that you may have seen from other therapists). Protect yourself and see our guide on ‘How to Choose A Hypnotherapist’? Beware when choosing a therapist as sadly anyone can claim to be a qualified hypnotherapist! And unfortunately, many do! Whilst proudly displaying their numerous ‘Diplomas’ that they have obtained on-line for a few pence. Along with a leaflet that indicates they belong to a ‘Governing Body’ – usually one invented by the on-line diploma seller! This area has too many poorly trained, part-time therapists (marketing men, bus drivers etc) with glossy brochures and professional looking websites just trying to make a ‘bit of money on the side’, rather than being full time professionals intent on helping people improve their lives. I am even aware of practitioners locally who have had NO training and have simply purchased a training DVD which includes a selection of ‘print your own’ Diplomas and Certificates, along with registration documents to non existent governing bodies! Read on to see why Release Hypnotherapy should be your only serious choice! Many hypnotherapists, (particularly the newly qualified or inexperienced) simply use basic suggestion based therapy quite often packaged as ’solution’ or ’resolution’ hypnotherapy. Others have attended a ‘best of’ training course learning a few basic techniques on a course lasting a week or two and peddle what little they know with baffling titles such as ‘integrated hypnotherapy’ or ‘Complete Mind Therapy’. At Release Hypnotherapy we have trained in a variety of powerful hypnotherapeutic and psychological disciplines and therefore go far beyond this by using the fastest and most suitable approaches and techniques for each individual person and issue. For example, using Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy techniques to assist in reprogramming your subconscious mind or using advanced and powerful techniques to attempt to find the original underlying source or cause of any problems to enable a full and speedy resolution to them. Only then do we use advanced and powerful suggestion techniques to reinforce the treatment administered. For example, a fear of flying may often not actually be a fear of being at a height, but sometimes it may be a fear of water, or claustrophobia, or lack of control. Therefore suggestion based therapy relating to fear of flying is purely ’papering over the cracks’ if the original cause is not found and resolved. At Release Hypnotherapy we would attempt to find and address that fear and only then introduce powerful reinforcement suggestions. We aim to solve problems fast! The advanced and powerful methods we use mean we are confident that we can resolve many problems quickly and easily, quite often in only two or three sessions! (subject to assessment at initial consultation). Many have been resolved in only one session! Even highly complex, or deep rooted problems can often be solved in as little as three to five sessions (It is very unusual for us to take as many as five sessions). Whereas many other hypnotherapists recommend ten, twelve or even fifteen sessions! Through constant research, we strive to stay informed of the latest, most powerful, best practice and emperically proven techniques from throughout the world. We use modern ‘hi-tech’ approaches and tools to supplement the skill of the therapist, where appropriate. For example, we may use a Galvanic Skin Response Meter to detect the level of relaxation or minute changes in anxiety in a patient. We may also use a specialized therapy sound reinforcement system to ‘get right inside your head’! After the successful treatment for your problem, you may be offered ‘backup’ and ‘reinforcement’ material to move your life permanently forward for the better. Text Box: Latest News Update In June The Royal Society of Medicine (reported in the Independent and on the BBC, 6/6/11) announced that they feel that the increased use of hypnotherapy in many clinical and medical areas should be available on the NHS as it could potentially save the NHS millions of pounds, but the use of it is being undermined by cowboy practitioners with little training who have caused serious harm to patients. They believe that the uptake of hypnotherapy into the NHS is being hampered by its misuse by inadequately qualified and rogue practitioners. We at Release Hypnotherapy totally agree with this stance as we come across far to many practitioners in this category. We are always striving to be at the very fore front of the hypnotherapy industry in order to offer you the very best possible treatment available. In pursuing this aim our principal consultant, Garry Coles holds Post Graduate and Honours Degree Level Qualifications in Clinical Hypnosis awarded by Thames Valley University and The University of West London. He is one of the highest academically qualified practitioners in the country and is aiming to be one of the first practitioners in Europe to hold a science masters degree in Clinical Hypnosis and Psychology (the highest European academic qualification now available).
